Ourika Valley Day Trip From Marrakech

Your adventure begins at 8:30 AM with a pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Leaving the Red City behind, travel towards the breathtaking Ourika Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in the High Atlas Mountains.

Along the way, enjoy spectacular mountain scenery and, if your visit falls on a Monday, stop to explore a traditional Berber weekly market, where locals gather to trade fresh produce, spices, livestock, and handmade crafts.

Continue through picturesque Berber villages before visiting a traditional Berber family home, where you will be warmly welcomed with a homemade Moroccan breakfast of fresh bread, olive oil, honey, and mint tea while learning about local customs and daily life.

Your journey then continues to Setti Fatma, a charming mountain village famous for its lush landscapes and refreshing waterfalls. Accompanied by a local guide, enjoy a scenic hike to the first waterfall, where you can admire the natural beauty and cool mountain air.

After the hike, visit a women’s Argan Oil Cooperative to discover the traditional process of producing Morocco’s famous argan oil and learn about its culinary and cosmetic uses.

Enjoy lunch at a riverside restaurant overlooking the flowing stream (optional), then take time to admire the green terraces, orchards, and traditional farming methods that have shaped the valley for generations.

In the late afternoon, relax on the drive back to Marrakech, arriving at your accommodation at approximately 5:30 PM, where your unforgettable Atlas Mountains adventure comes to an end.
